We're a small group of volunteers who love Doxies! There was something
missing in - a Dachshund rescue. So in October 2008 we
took in our first homeless dog, and now we continue to take dogs from
kill shelters, make sure they are healthy, vaccinated, and
spayed/neutered, and find them forever homes!
If you're interested in joining our organization, please use the
contact info below. We need foster homes, adoption event workers,
people available to pick up and drop off dogs at the vet, and much
more. And in return you get the satisfaction of helping a homeless pet,
and many many puppy kisses.
We try to make adopting a dog as simple as possible, while still
assuring a safe and secure place for the fur-kids. For this reason we
ask that you first fill out an application. We ask for a reference, the
name of your vet, and contact information for your landlord (if you
have one), as well as your general contact info. You must be willing to
have us over for a home visit, and then we can match you up with the
perfect LowRider companion.
Our adoption fees vary by dog, starting at $125 and up. If the dog
is too young to be spayed or neutered we do require a refundable
deposit.
Puppies under 6 months of age start at $175 and up.
Come Visit Us!
We're a foster-based organization so we don't have a centralized
location. However, you can visit our dogs every 1st and 3rd Sunday of
the month at Petsmart on I-240 & Penn! We also host other various
adoption days, so check back for the latest news.
Update: Dachshund Choas will be at the I-240 & Penn Petsmart on Sunday February 22nd as well!
